Don-Alan Rekow was born and raised in Emmett, Idaho where he learned and excelled in mechanics from an early age. Being the first son he shared the same first name with his dad and took after him in many ways becoming, as his dad would put it, a “Jack of All Trades.”  His first engine swap was at age 14 pulling the 4 cylinder out of his 1947 Willy’s Jeep and replacing it with a 289 Ford V8.  Working on cars and trucks and being a carpenter occupied much of his free time until he was 19.  Then for 2 years he served a mission for his church in Mexico City where he learned to speak Spanish and at age 21 returned to what he knew prior to the mission.  Something had changed though and Don-Alan felt as if his apprenticeship as a mechanic was ending.

In 1984 it was at a seminar where one of the speakers that got up on stage and explained how he had been a mechanic and how he had changed his life to do what he was then doing, public speaking.  The idea fascinated Don-Alan and not only coupled with a desire to write a book his focus changed to wanting to speak in public.  Over the next 22 years events took place that shaped his career and experiences to prepare him for larger audiences on stage.  COnCEPT Q, a philosophy of life and a Model of Faith was conceived and developed over the following 2 decades as a result of an inspiration received in 1986.  The COnCEPT Q Philosophy is detailed in the book There Is No Power In Chaos published by SAbER Mountain.

SAbER Mountain Publishers was founded in 2000 after many attempts to get his first book published.  After several changes in the business, its present focus is primarily on helping first time authors get published teaching them the necessary steps from taking an idea all the way to a book in hand.  SAbER Mountain Publishers is the producer of Operation Teen Author which takes a group of teenagers through the process of writing, publishing and marketing a book that they co-author with its Host and Creator Don-Alan.

Don-Alan married Rosa Repullo from Girona, Spain.  After living in the United States they moved their family to Spain where they have resided since 1992 giving their four children a cultural opportunity to learn several languages and experience European culture.  http://www.concept-onq.com/
